Life Mist Technologies
July of 2009 William Chamblin and Paul Bradley visited the Training Center. They had been referred to us by Chester County Emergency Services. Bill and Paul were the principals of Life Mist Technologies a start up company developing a fire suppression system for aircraft cargo holds. They were looking for a location to construct a live fire test chamber and control facility. A lease was signed and construction complete by November 2009. Research is on going.
After a few meetings between Life Mist Technologies (LMT) and the Board of Fire and Life Safety (BFLS) an agreement was reached that would provide LMT with the facility they needed and the BFLS with an source of income to support the mission of emergency services training. It also gave the Training Center exposure to the research community and their corporate sponsors. This exposure may lead to other opportunities for financial support. It also demonstrates the BFLS support for those who are trying to improve safety systems to protect the public and emergency responders.
